This community is very interesting.  It is located in the quadrant of Bathurst St and west to Dufferin St.  It is from Finch Ave. on the north and goes south to Sheppard Ave.  It is conviently located close to schools, parks, and Community centres (including a small water park), Grocery store and plaza with other amenities. The Manor (as is known) is also minute drive to an area of many box stores and restaurants as well as York University.

It is very close to Hwy 401 and the Allen rd. which makes travel in any direction a breeze.  There is TTC in the area for those of you that commute using public transit.

The attraction to the manor is the size of the lots and the depth of the properties.  It is probably one of the last affordable areas in the GTA where you can still purchase a property under $1,000,000 and own land.  Many of the homes in the area were bungalows or split levels (either side or back splits).  Some homes were 2-stories.  Many of these homes have been bought and rebuilt.

The original area became very senior populated; however, it is very much being bought up by young families.  Even if the families purchasing these properties don’t tear it down they are totally gutting the interior.  The area is now is make up of young professionals.  Even though the area is not in a low starting range of $700,000 to $800,000, It is very low priced for the GTA.  Because of the area many young families start out in the existing houses and renovate as they can.  And they still have the potential to rebuild in the future because the lots start at 50 ft.   Once the homes are rebuilt they are million dollar homes.

This is easily an area a young family can start in and live their whole life.  They can change the house to meet their changing needs by either adding additions to the existing home or totally rebuilding.  The lots can easily accommodate pools, as most are pool size lots.  The Bathurst Manor is an area that offers location, location, location and land, land, land!!!
